Russ et al...

I have been in meetings all morning and unable to post...
To all those asking questions about .biz I would like to say I am still
working on everyones answers and have placed *many* calls and emails to my
contact at NeuLevel with no response. I promise I will resolve as much as I
can as soon as I can.
Further to my last post....the updated .biz timeline can be found here:
http://www.opensrs.org/images/biz_timeline.gif

To Kai and everyone else, the correct status for any .biz domain name
applications sent to the registry is 'sent' not 'reserved' There have been
*many* problems on the registry side in terms of communication for
submission of batch files - as a result, some of the queues which Tucows
submits are bouncing or taking a very long time to process (upwards of a
week) which means you might not see status changes in the RWI. For those
resellers that submitted applications 1 or 2 months ago, I assure you that
all names will be submitted to the NeuLevel registry, and you will NOT be at
a disadvantage if your names are submitted within the next few days or later
(the registry has provided all registrars will a buffer to ensure all
transactions are completed - this will NOT be extended to resellers for
submissions beyond Sept 21 11:59 pm EST) if they do not show up as "sent" in
the RWI.

To those fielding customer calls about IP Claim notification - I am still
awaiting screen shots from NeuLevel so that we are informed exactly what the
users face. However, domain name applicants are emailed and notified that
they are in conflict with an IP Claim (PLEASE NOTE: NeuLevel does not
provide information on the identity of the claimant...therefore it is up to
the discretion of the domain name applicant whether to proceed or not - I
know the particular example on the list was australia.biz - essentially you
must decide whether to proceed with your application if you dont feel it is
justified)

Regarding .info. Both the premium and regular Tucows queues close for
submission at 4:00pm today. Resellers are strongly advised to have
sufficient funds to cover ALL pre-registrations as they currently stand
prior to the deduplication - the timeline between deduplication and
submission to the Afilias registry is very compressed, as a result you WILL
NOT have the opportunity to check your account balance and add additional
funds if necessary.
