Perhaps you didn't have any affected domains, then.

I had four affected by it, and can tell you that OpenSRS's
notification and explanation was quite detailed.

There's been some discussion on the list regarding the
year that was removed and whether or not it was paid for.
It is my strong belief that the year WAS PAID FOR by the
registrant, despite the fact that it may have been refunded
to the registrar (Network Solutions).

Since I only have a handful of domains affected, I have
opted to pay for a one year renewal if my customers wish
to keep the name.

OpenSRS has handled it very well, and the options available
to customers are as good as they can be, given the actions
already taken by the registry.  I have no complaint with
how OpenSRS has handled it.

the secrecy around the OpenSRS "fix" to the verisign "bug" fix
is very strange.
even more so after it is becoming clear that OpenSRS was not able
to deliver on it's promise that everything would be resolved in a good way.
