In this case it is two hyphens and two periods. All other characters in the name, none of which is recognizable to most of us as either a proper name or a word, are 'normal' alpha characters or spaces. I guess my biggest question is: "Where do I go from here?" I have already contacted the customer and told him that CIRA does not believe that that is his name. I am awaiting a reply. It would have been a lot easier to register the domain in his company name (like his .com, .net and .org), but that is against CIRA policy. Why? I have no idea.
