A hazing may make you feel better, but it won't transfer the domain any faster. I've found that the closer to its expiry date, the greater the likelihood of a transfer being "delayed". If the OpenSRS confirmation has been completed and no confirmation has come from Verisign, then you should probably cancel the transfer in the RWI and re-initiate it. If the transfer has been approved at Verisign and you want to find out the status (i.e. RWI says "pending registrar approval"), your should chat with a Veridrone. Veridrones *can* in fact find out whether a transfer request has been acknowledged; they can even go so far as to look at the full response message that was used to ACK their confirmation request. (This was how I found out that my transfer confirmations were being refused because my Return-Path was too different from my Reply-To. The dolts thought that a mismatch was evidence of fraud.)
