sorry for the delay...just got back from a brief vacation this morning... basically I will start off by saying that the clock *is not* ticking on any .biz domains that have been successfully registered. Essentially, you will not be billed until you see the list of names in the RWI a day or two after the registry provides us with the list on November 7...at which point you will have 7 days to pay. There are 3 scenarios here as they relate to .biz domain name apps:
1. Reseller submitted a unique domain name application with no IP claim against the domain - no other applicants applied for the domain. NeuLevel entered these domains into the db and they should all resolve in the DNS - as some of you are already seeing. 2. Reseller submitted a duplicate domain name application - other applicants also submitted applications for the same domain. These are the names that have not been entered into the DNS as a result of the lawsuit pending against .biz. There are *no* timelines or estimates when these names might resolve... 3. Reseller submitted a domain name application with an IP claim against the domain. These names are automatically locked at the registry level for 30 days in case they need to be challenged by legitimate IP holders. Tucows has *not* been provided with a list of successful and unsuccessful domain name applications, names on registry lock and names not yet selected (due to lawsuit) Tucows will download the file on Nov 7 then upload all names into the RWI - which should be complete by Nov 9. (from Tucows perspective) From there you will be able to see the following status: Completed - domain application successful Rejected - domain application unsuccessful Sent - domain application not completed due to lawsuit Hold (or some variation) - 30 day on hold by registry Thanks Rick > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Mark Jeftovic > Sent: Monday, October 22, 2001 9:51 AM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Re: OpenSRS Live Reseller Update Oct 18, 2001 > > > > > On Mon, 22 Oct 2001, Paul Phippin wrote: > > > > non-duplicate .biz applications will be resolving > > > > Hi ST, > > > > Our non-duplicate .biz 's have been resolving since Friday. > > > > > Uhm, have I missed something here?
