Yes, for customers in Saskatchewan. > Obviously GST is subject on everything, and we are not charging PST of > domain names now.. we are getting into the hosting biz, and am > wondering if the rules for hosting are different than GST?? The rules for PST in Saskatchewan changed around March 30 of 2000, at which point we had to start charging PST on hosting, domains, etc., as these were considered "services" (I actually talked to a finance rep on this when the bulletin came out). A month or so later, advertising became PST taxable here as well.. Which covered just about everything ELSE we sell that wasn't already provincially taxable :-) I'm not sure what the deal is in Ontario, which is I think where you are, but, if nobody else on this list volunteers information, you can always talk to your provincial finance office for tax info (and I'm sure they have a web site). - Ryan > J > > -- Ryan Thompson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Network Administrator, Accounts SaskNow Technologies - http://www.sasknow.com #106-380 3120 8th St E - Saskatoon, SK - S7H 0W2 Tel: 306-664-3600 Fax: 306-664-1161 Saskatoon Toll-Free: 877-727-5669 (877-SASKNOW) North America
