My customer is interested in a name that is currently shown as registered by
NameZero but expired.

Looking it up in Whois shows that it has expired but it is still showing up in
Whois and on the root nameservers and is redirected to NameZero with an offer to
"sell" it.

Shows NSI as the registrar

Is NSI once again tilting the playing field or is it normal behavior to let some
registrars hold names past their periods?
