Not really OpenSRS related, but of interest to some I'm sure.
Before we started using OpenSRS, we were (and still are) a Network Solutions Premier Partner. We registered 30 000+ domains with NetSol. I just got emailfrom them saying their going to move all of our previously registered domains into the WorldNIC system and that we will be responsible for billing these clients. For any of you who don't know what WorldNIC is, it is their 'account' based management system, where people manage their accounts using an account number and password. One can't use their traditional email templates or standard online forms for making changes to one's domain. In many cases I must assist the client in updating his or her NetSol domain inorder to submit a transfer (stale contact information, admin email, etc.). Thiswill make it far more difficult for me and the client to do this, and I certainlyhave no desire to take on the billing responibilities for these clients, unless I'mgetting a cut of the profit, which I certainly am not. As far as I have been told, this transfer of NetSol domains into the WorldNIC system in mandatory, and will effect anyone who has ever registered domains through NetSol. Has anyone else gotten notification of this and what does Tucows and other OpenSRS resellers think about this.
