What did he mean by the system wouldn't let him?  If he did not get the
deny request in within 5 days of the transfer initiation, then the domain
goes away (registry default).

To get it back, simply generate a transfer request.

I'd like more information on whether or not this was declined, since it
appears below that he wasn't able to do so.
