Here's my guess:

Many of the automated mail messages from the OpenSRS side have their
>From header set to that of the RSP. On the old system (old colo place)
they probably had non-fatal mail error notifications disabled, then
they moved to the new system and turned on new mail hubs without these
messages supressed.

72 hours after the move...messages with temp/non-fatal errors begin to
generate these notifactions which are sent to the address in the From
header, that of the RSP.
