I agree completely with Loren and others about this.
Icann should step in and stop this nonsense immediately,
or did they give up that right in some line of the contract?

All domains should be released into the general pool 30-60 days after
expiry.  Period.

also, why Verisign/Netsol gets to keep running the .com registry without
competing bids is beyond me as well.
