I have just completed a rigorous install of OpenSRS on a MacOSX server. What
I can tell you is that that version of Perl works fine.

As for finding storable.pm, you need to install the storable module via
CPAN. That and another mod that I think is called HTML::Template are not
specified in the OpenSRS docs.
