Kai We are sending email notification to resellers by Wednesday, February 6, 2002 indicating what domains are affected and how many 'applications' for each name. If you don't have record of the names you submitted the email should take care of that in terms of informing you. Is there another method that you would like to see?
As for the new round robin procedure, all non "affected" names will not be submitted as we are acting in the best interest of resellers by ensuring that those who apply, are, in fact interested in the domain. As there are a lot of generic names in this lot Tucows is hoping to allow everyone to focus on their sales and marketing efforts. There are 39,000 available names that will be available for no application fee and the process is one that all resellers are knowledgeable of - this is the same selection method as used by Afilias for their Sunrise and Landrush periods. I really think this is a great opportunity for everyone. Thanks for your feedback. How should our clients know what an "affected" name would be if you don't publish a list of these names? And how should we know?
