I'll make this a future enhancement. For now, when we get an error from the registry, we simply dump it back to the manage interface.
It all depends on the error format from the registry - if they use the same error code for this problem as they use for other problems, it could be more misleading than useful. There is an FAQ (that is a *wee* bit out of date, but mostly pertinent) that resellers are pursuaded to modify and use if they wish: http://www.opensrs.org/Manage_FAQ.shtml Charles Daminato TUCOWS Product Manager [EMAIL PROTECTED] On Fri, 22 Feb 2002, dnsadmin wrote: > > The obscurity of the OpenSRS manage interface error contributes to people > being confused instead of properly helping them discover the solution to the > problem. > > As a result, OpenSRS is indirectly causing numerous questions posted to > discuss-list for the same problem repeatedly. > > This should be changed: > ======================= > > "Unable to add nameserver: Command failed: unable to verify existence > of nameserver ns1.valuablehost.net" > > The ERROR should read instead: > ============================== > > "Unable to add nameserver: Command failed: unable to verify existence > of nameserver ns1.valuablehost.net > > This means your nameserver is not found in the registry database.
