On a discussion forum I frequent, the talk has turned to what happens when a reseller or a registrar goes bankrupt.
In the case of an OpenSRS reseller, the domain stewardship goes where? I assume that the domain owners can transfer without any issues since OpenSRS is still the registrar and that's where the domains are controlled anyway. The transfer process would work just like it does now. In the case of an ICANN accredited registrar, what happens to domains registered with them? If OpenSRS were to go under (not that there is any risk of that), what would happen to the domains? Is this any different than if any other registrar went under? -t
