I have had no delays for registering the .biz
domains. Thankfully I must add. I don't think they should use problems as
an
excuse for that happening, I believe you learn
from your mistakes, correct the problems, then don't let it happen again.
I'm
sure they have tons of excuses, "well we are
just too busy", "we have just had too many requests, millions
even".
Take a lesson from Wal-Mart, who does more
business, then any of us, including Netsol, the .biz registry, and All of us
put together!
Don't create excuses, Create answers. The one thing I do respect
about "Wally World", is that they have
a person who just
sits at the front door, to say "GREET" you. Every one of the Wal-Marts around
here do, anyways, and there
are a LOT of them.
If Netsol, took the same approach (ANY business
for that matter), to customer satisfaction then the Web would be
quite
a different place. But oh no, to big of a risk.
Spend money making customers HAPPY. Won't happen.
I think that if the .biz registry, while on the
subject, EVERY registry, should take into consideration the CUSTOMER
FIRST,
not profits, then they would not let problems
happen more than one time, or several if they all happen at the same
time,
then after they are aware of it, FIX IT THEN,
don't delay. Don't get a cup of coffee first, check stock prices, sales, or
anything,
just fix the dang problem, then when the
customers are HAPPY, profits will take care of themselves.
A great man once said, "Don't trip over pennies on the way to making dollars". In my mind,
that is a VERY powerful statement.
If we spend the pennies fixing problems, making our customers HAPPY, then they will spend MORE
dollars with us.
A very good reward for treating people like they deserve to be treated, with respect,
dignity, enthusiasm, and as a person who
is providing meals for your kids, education, or whatever.
Happy customers make for re-peat sales. Unhappy
people will go else where, USUALLY. I know unfortunately, you cannot
get
a .biz domain anywhere else, but the .biz
registry. What a monopoly! :-}
All I am saying is the .biz registry, should FIX
their problems instead of saying well, uhm, uh, hmm.
JUST DO IT!
Then people like Mike, Chuck :), and many others
will have LESS to Fret over.
Anyways, just been a LONG day :) sorry to nag on
your ear, tired of excuses from BUSINESSES as to why they
did not perform, or are NOT performing. Guess
that's a BIG Part of life :(

It was a funny thing. The .Biz domain sat in
the pending area waiting for a registry response, and then Chuck forced it
through .Biz and they denied it. Then I re-registered it and it was approved
and registered immediately with no delay. I don't think half of the TLD
operators that make their system know what they are doing ;) Not like
I do either ;)
As far as propagations go,
they have been in 24 hours or less for us for a few weeks. (Just
registration being held and not immediately registered that are getting
under our skin ;)
O well. We finally got the domain, that's the
important thing. I just get "Stuck In The Middle" when this stuff happens
and we feel like idiots because we don't have an answer. ;) Truth
is, the domain should have never been waiting for registry approval but
as chuck said the .Biz guys have a lot of problems right now. It appears
that their registry is running off of a Commodore 64 with a 5 meg hard drive
;) (HAHA - Those were the good old days....)

I actually registered a .biz 2 days ago, or
so, and it was propagated the next day. Works just like a .com, or any
other! :)
I too would be pretty upset if after that
kind of speed, I was hit with a legthy delay. Kinda strange that it takes
long at times.
Must have a MIND of it's OWN! :)

spoiled with all the other "immediate" registrations. I have a client
that wants to know why he can't use his names yet as they know most are
accessible in 1-3 days but still many .biz domains take a week
sometimes. ;) Any ideas when .biz registrations will flow more
smoothly?

What's the domain name?
You can always lookup the order at http://resellers.opensrs.net,
and at the bottom is a "Check Transfer Status" button that finishes
the order (if it's completed at the registry) within 15
minutes.
Note that our transfer script only runs once per day - if this
domain went to the registry on the 28th, it's JUST near the 5 day mark
- it's possible that the domain has transfered, and will resolve
tonight (remember that Feb only has 28 days...)
