The stated policy WAS that a fax needed to have the signatures of the registrant AND the RSP. I don't know if the stated policy was ever enforced - the only time I ever had to change a customer's email I had them fax their request to me, and then I annotated it and faxed it on to OpenSRS. I didn't know it was an option for me to step back and let OpenSRS take care of the end user (actually I thought it was OpenSRS policy NOT to deal directly with the registrant unless the RSP failed to do so).
I really don't care what the policy is - I just want it to be documented and followed by everyone involved. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Charles Daminato" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Chuck Hatcher" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, April 02, 2002 1:58 PM Subject: RE: OpenSRS changes admin contact email without RSP approval? > afaik the RSP is not notified (and historically has not been) but we do not > send the password once the change is made, the user must contact you anyway > to complete the process. > > I will speak to the folks that handle these changes and see if there can be > an extra step added to the process. > > Charles Daminato > OpenSRS Product Manager > Tucows Inc. - [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Chuck Hatcher > > Sent: April 1, 2002 4:45 PM > > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > Subject: OpenSRS changes admin contact email without RSP approval? > > > > > > I just got the following email from [EMAIL PROTECTED]: > > > > ------------------------------------------- > > Hello, > > > > As per the faxed request from xxxx xxxxx, The Admin Email for this domain > > has been changed.
