As a followup, here's what Verisign had to say: <snip> Thank you for contacting VeriSign.
This is a rather unique situation. The whois record is a strictly cosmetic database, so the date shown their is sometimes incorrect. As per my records, your domain name is expired, and was so since April 14th, 2001. We have received your message stating that you have already paid for your domain name registration(s). Our records currently indicate that your payment is outstanding. We will look into this matter further. </snip> So, if WHOIS is "strictly cosmetic" we are left to Verisign to be the final authority on all domain information where they are the Registrar? Amazing. I hope the bank doesn't tell me that my balance is "strictly cosmetic". The irony here is that I already transfered this domain away from Netsol once before to Registrars.com. Unfortunately, Verisign recently bought Registrars.com. -- Chris Scott Host Orlando, Inc. http://www.hostorlando.com/ > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Chris Scott > Sent: Friday, March 29, 2002 8:41 AM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: A new twist on Verisign falsely rejecting transfers? > > > Here's a good one.
