I've got a question about a .US name that was in our
queue for pre-registration.
When TUCOWS processed the pre-regs, we got back a "denied"
status on this particular name (and on several others).
Shortly afterward, we got notification from Tucows that
one of the names was not actually denied, and that it
had been added to our reseller account. Sure enough, the
WHOIS works properly for that name.
BUT for one of the other names, no WHOIS comes up, and
the whois at whois.neustar.us reports:
There were no records matching your query.
"xxxxxx.us" may be available.
If I try to register the domain, it comes back as "taken".
So, how do I determine *WHO* owns it?
I tried going to www.crsnic.net, but they don't seem to
report anything for *any* .US names.
