Renewals seem to continue to confuse me (We've just entered into year #2 with OpenSRS - Thanks Guys!)
Two issues with renewals: 1. Renews and Pending. Does the RWI's Process Renewals Immediately selection under Tech Contact Info work? I'd like to have control over this but it doesn't seem to be happening for me. I have selected NO but renewals seem to happen automatically without my approval. I'm sure that this happens on domains with auto-renew set, I can't say for certainty about regular renewals from renew.cgi. 2. Let-expire. I have one domain that I set to let expire (without further notice) That seems to have occurred but I'm surprised at how without further notice that was. There is no inclusion in the Deactivated or expired names list. This was probably be design but offers no way to notice a mistake. Clicking the handy "Search for domains set to let-expire (use * for wild card):" button is misleading because of the default date settings (3/5/2002 to 2/6/2002). When I entered an inclusive date range it was OK but this could be dangerous to the unsuspecting reseller (me). The same date range settings problem exists on the auto-renew search section. I hope that you guys can change the default date settings to be more useful in upcoming RWI releases. A safety net for the let-expires might also be helpful. Fortunately I haven't goofed-up, yet.
