Understand about "ping" mail.  Doesn't explain the high volume of such
messages to single addresses.  And the latest round isn't the only one.
I've seen 3 other instances where upwards of 20 test messages are sent
to a single address over a week.  Not all from these instances are from
the same source.

Might be some faulty spammer software out there :)
