Truthfully, the only way to provide domain registration services is to
charge more than we charge now with the games that these guys like to play.
People like Verisign cause registration prices to go up because they cause
so much extra work to be done. BUT, I still refuse to raise any prices
because I sure as the hell am not going to let those idiots get what they
want ;) Funny thing, Verisign is going to have to raise prices even more to
try and get out of all the trouble they have caused. Truth is, they are a
time bomb. Any day Verisign will be history... The bomb is ticking away....

OpenSRS resellers are proving to the world that you do not need to pay for
a ICANN logo to provide awesome services and support. Keep it up OpenSRS
and all resellers!

it takes to support/educate the customer about domain names is
increasing--renewal scams, Verisign's ineptitude, intentionally vague or
misleading transfer away confirmations from other registrars, etc. Throw on
top of that policing their WHOIS data (because they are your customer and
they will expect you to look out for their interests, whether it is a valid
expectation or not) and I wonder when it becomes a loss leader. Or, is it
already?

can't see paying more than $10 when we police our clients and tell them to
make their who-is accurate. At that point if they do not, that is their
problem as we tell them we are not responsible for the loss of their domain
to in-accurate who-is info....
