The zones are updated twice daily (5a/p I believe), but the zone has a 48
hour TTL on DNS for caching nameservers.  There's no way around that
globally - you can force your own nameservers to ignore it so your mail
server will work by itself, but aside from that... slap the hand that made
the change ;)
