A lot of registrars are starting to block their whois information because of
the mass solicitations being sent out by Verisign, Register.com, DROA,
etc..... A lot of people have been complaining, so some registrars are
taking upon themselves to block this information from prying eyes!

I'm telling you, this domain registration business is really starting to
SUCK! The economy is in the shits and the big guys are taking advantage of
their very deep pockets(well their company's stocks very deep pockets).

Just my $0.02.

Subject: Godaddy WHOIS violating registrar agreement?

I just noticed that Godaddy's WHOIS output is all of a sudden
non-existent. Below is a sample lookup I just did (I replaced the real
domain name with #########). Is Godaddy returning this for all domains
they are registrar for? If so, they are violating the ICANN registrar
accrediation agreement. Or, perhaps this domain registrant is not
providing the information and Godaddy isn't enforcing the requirement.

Registrant:
   David Brown

   Registrar: Go Daddy Software (http://registrar.godaddy.com)
   Domain Name: #########.COM

   Domain servers in listed order:
      NS1.#########.COM
      NS2.#########.COM
