The .eu is under way.
But probably Tucows will not be able to participate (or will need a cooperation partner in Europe)
because it is discussed, that the nameservers will be located in a European country.
Also likely that registrars + registrants from Europe only (citicen and/or legal company)

I also support the nameserver requirements. Not because of commercial reasons, but
I think that cybersquatting should be reduced. And only if the registrars + registrants are located
within Europe you may set up a more strict legislation concerning this matter.
And the legal disputes will be cheaper for the complainants.
(similar to .us restrictions which have shown a positive effect concerning cybersquatting)

Also have a look to the official .eu survey. All European members of the list should participate
and make suggestions.
