You may first submit the registration requests in a pending state and then authorize 
and charge the card
and if successful process the order.
That will go in all cases except for the transfer requests that you have to refund the 
card if failed.
Please keep in mind that putting a domain in the pending state doesn't mean that 
someone else could not
register it during the time of card processing, but practically I think this case 
should not happen if
you use an online card processing service and process the order automatically after 
card processing.
