I have a client who's been slowly transferring domains
to us from Network Solutions. About a week ago, he got
so fed up with NetSol that he snapped and initiated
transfers on the last 50 or so domains he had at NetSol.

In the flurry of emails that followed, he managed to approve
all of the auth requests that TUCOWS sent, and (he believed)
all of the superfluous second requests that NetSol sent.

Apparently a handful of the NetSol ones (five or six that
I'm aware of) got missed or were not exactly to NetSol's
liking.

Today he got emails from NetSol saying that the transfers
were not approved and that they were denying the transfers.

Now, I *know* that this is specifically a violation of
ICANN's rules for transfers, and I recall that this blew
up in NetSol's face several months ago (when NetSol tried
to claim that TUCOWS and others were slamming domains).

What's come of that whole bruhaha? Obviously, NetSol has
taken no action to comply with ICANN rules. They're still
denying transfers that should be allowed to complete because
the gaining registrar has successfully obtained permission
for the transfer from the admin contact.

Any new news, Ross?

Regards,
Eric Longman
