Actually, the contracts don't specify that the losing registrar can't do something like Netsol and register.com are doing. My opinion is that Netsol originally made sure the contract was drafted in such a way to allow this loop hole for their own gain. Netsol is doing exactly what all of the other registrars feared, which led to the current language in the contract (i.e. gaining registrar verifies). Unfortunately Netsol had sleazier, um I mean better lawyers, therefore (in my opinion) made sure it was drafted to not exclude or restrict what they could do.
