It won't, you are right.  But it will cut down on the amount of junk
email you get from whois-harvested email addresses.

The postal mail problem *should* be solved by pointing out to CIRA that
DROC is obviously harvesting this info from WHOIS data, and CIRA should
revoke their registrar status because of it.

But the inability for governing bodies to revoke registrar status is
another issue (*cough* ICANN *cough*).

Oh ... and we're thinking about other solutions to dealing with
postal/phone contacts and myprivacy.ca.
