Hey folks! I am having two irritating problems that I am looking for some input on:
1) I installed a new firewall recently. Now all connection attempts from osrs[12].opensrs.net are being rejected due to their SYN packets containing data. This prevents me from receiving the OpenSRS announcements, but fortunately not renewal notices etc. The firewall insists SYN with Data is a DoS attempt and will not let me override that, which I know is my problem not OpenSRS's but I'll ask anyway: What kind of funky network stack is running on these machines, and has anyone else had the same problem? I have not received packets of this type from any other mail server ever. 2) I changed (or attempted to) the contact information on some .us domains. Now, Neustar WHOIS just shows two admin/billing/tech contacts for each domain -- one with the old address and one with the new address. This was not the desired effect. Why did this happen and how can I delete the old address from the registry? Help on either issue is appreciated. Thanks!! -- ...Craig
