For the archives, the problem with my firewall is that it has a problem
with TCP ECN, which was enabled on the OpenSRS mail servers in question.

Question 2 still stands:  Why does changing the contact info on a .us
domain result in additional contacts being created at Neustar and the old
information remaining attached to the record?  Is there any way to delete
a Neustar contact record?
