Tell them to phone their current registrar. I've been dealing with one of these as well -- customer is transferring in net/org/ca variants of the same domain, and auth code for the .org was proving a problem. She phoned the registrar and was given a code which obviously suggested that the registrar was still in process of migrating. Despite this, it has been impossible to do the transfer -- the confirmation screen returns an error "paramater value policy error". Apparently the message is coming from the org registry and nobody at Tucows has heard of it nor knows what it means. I'm awaiting an explanation (Robert and/or Joey were going to enquire at the registry).
