Does anybody (in the spying business) really care?  Once you just through
the hoops to create a company whole's sole purpose is to sign up as a
reseller and gather information, and keep it legally seperate from the
mother company, you can spy on as many other registrars as you want, no?

And in this respect, there's nothing an RSP knows that the competition
doesn't.  The competition could try to match it too, if they wanted, but
most wouldn't know how to provide good service if they tried.
