Tucows supports the Perl-based client that can be downloaded from our
website. The answer to this FAQ has now been corrected.

However, I can tell you that we are currently evaluating our RCL with the
intent of giving it a major overhaul. We are considering the protocols that
are used and the modularity of the code. Our goals are to make it easier
for resellers to integrate RCL into your websites and to upgrade to new
versions of RCL.

Subject: I thought this was interesting - development FAQ

So I was using the Reseller Resource Center, and came upon this FAQ:

http://rrc.tucows.com/support/faq/dev_faq

Specifically this question and answer was interesting:

------
What client implementations are available for the OpenSRS system?

Tucows officially supports a Perl-based client. It includes a client library
and a set of CGIs. There is a new, more modular version (opensrs-sf) that is
in use by a signifficant number of resellers and will soon become the
official client release (http://sourceforge.net/projects/opensrs-sf/). Both
these releases use the same client API (the XCP protocol) but have different
source code structure.

Did I miss an announcement?
