I've had this happen twice when ordering a True Business ID.
I enter the order with a DUNS number.
The admin contact gets an e-mail requesting faxed corporate documents.
Five minutes later, we get the certificate with the site seal code, and
everything is working.
Can this be fixed ? Below is the e-mail mys customer received, order ID
munged.
Thank you for ordering a True BusinessID server certificate.
Supplier Order Id: 123456
To establish your True Site credentials and to complete your
True BusinessID server certificate request, GeoTrust, the certificate
authority must verify your business identity by obtaining and checking
certain business registration documents.
*Please Note: If you are renewing a Geotrust Certificate from last year,
unless
your business information has changed, you do not need to submit your
documents.
Please fax your business registration documents to
Geotrust at +1-770-360-9571 and include your Supplier Order ID # 123456
on the fax cover sheet.
Example business registration documents include:
- articles of incorporation,
- business license,
- partnership agreement, or other documentation that confirms your business
identity.
The following information should be contained in the business registration
documents:
a) Documents that include the name, legal address, and other
contact information for the company.
b) Documents that describe the location of incorporation for the company.
c) Documents that contain the name(s) of key officer(s) or partners.
For example, the names of Managing Director, President, Secretary,
Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Managing Partner,
or Vice Presidents of the company.
After receipt of the above documentation, the order processing typically
takes two business days. Once processed, you will receive your
True Site "smart icon" installation instructions along with your
True BusinessID server certificate.
