That has always been the way transfers function.

This is *after* the gaining registrar has positively confirmed the intent
of the domain registrant.


The losing registrar has five calendar days to decline a transfer. If the
losing registrar does nothing, the transfer will automatically be
completed.


Sorry - I didn't notice that this was addressed to me. Current ICANN policy is such that the Gaining Registrar already has permission from the Registrant to transfer at this point. Our outgoing message is simply a courtesy to the registrant to give them an out if they have changed their mind.

Now this is the point. I mean I fancy how the Gaining Registrar sends a confirmation e-mail to our non-english-speaking user, who understands nothing of it and clicks on every **** link he sees.
