I see it the other way around; it's an equitable arrangement. Customers are paying a monthly fee for a content development and management tool. If they aren't happy with our service but like their web site, they *can* leave and take it with them for a one-time, minimal, fee.

We maintain customer loyalty by offering quality service at a fair price - not by tying them up. Our customers are free to terminate our service agreements at anytime - no term contracts. If we can no longer provide value to a customer, we would prefer to get a good referral than to try to force them to do business with us. We will never sell that product is it's current form.
