We lost a very large number of customers to "EU Registry Services" whose letter can be seen here: http://www.nameroute.com/eu-registry-services.html which states quite clearly (and wrongly) that the domain name will stop working if you do not pay them. Complaints to trading standards had no effect. The gTLD registrar they resell for just let them get on with it. You and I, Neil, are in the wrong business. There is much easier money to be made in this sort of thing and there are no consequences for those who do it. All I can do as a business owner is to try and ensure I recruit more transfers than I lose through these things.
