I agree, that should be the default view. I'm not sure if the folks designing the interface are registering/renewing domains for themselves, but I'm hard-pressed to think of any circumstances in which you'd want to view the list in any other way. At least one can get to the "right" way after 3 clicks, but it is a bit puzzling how we originally started off years ago with the proper view. Then, it got switched to alphabetical. Then, after some howling, it got switched back to the proper view. Now it's back to alphabetical! :) Maybe this is just some diabological experiment, and we're the hamsters in a cage? :) I know I do more renewals months in advance when I can see them in ascending order by expiry date, too...so Tucows is likely better off financially to switch it back to the order the names are about to expire.
