I strongly agree with Loren's remarks.

We all have the option to keep track of our names and sell them at any
time, as it always has been. eBay is a perfect example.

If a person isn't using their name or doesn't intend to continue using
it, they can sell or auction it off at any time, while they have LEGAL
control it it.

I would suggest an alternate plan of selling the name at a special
auction site preceding the expiration date, if the owner wants a
financial part in the
transaction.

I personally feel that if Tucows uses the name pool of their partnered
and affiliate registrars expired names, they are taking advantage of
their position, which I can not agree with either.

Did the words "take advantage" catch your attention?
