<<a few people who have all the extra time in the world to check it everyday or once a week.>> Wow, thank goodness I have all the time in the world. Whatever would I do if I was as busy as you must be? :) Just so that it is not misunderstood, I like the new system a bazillion, gazillion times better. So much better that I may want to marry it.

However, when something important comes across the line, I read it diligently. However, with a web based list where I have to go there to find out if something I am interested is happening or not, I will probably NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER Use it. Have I made myself clear. This is not good for most of us, it is only good for OpenSRS management and a few people who have all the extra time in the world to check it everyday or once a week. So why not use both for a period of 6 months and see where the bulk of people still use it. You will overwhelmingly find that nobody migrates because reading and responding in your own inbox is just too easy. SPAM and Viruses???? Hah! A thousand times. Norton Internet Security works. And does not filter out the mailing lists. I am really against this. REALLY, REALLY against this. Please do not move it. John Spohr I.S. International, Inc. By moving to Phorum, it allows me to use RSS, NNTP or the Web Based Forum. For me, email is the least useful, as it is impossible to keep track of threads or get things when I am away from my main machine (which is often). Thanks for finally doing this. It is a big value add for me. You can't make everyone happy, but you did make me happy. -AL -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Derek J. Mailman. Very nice. Very popular. Open source, extensible, you name it. > Anyone using RSS to keep up on the ebb and flow will have a local cache > as well as anyone that turns on email notifications via their phorum > profile. Again -- assumes that someone wants to use some other tool to read their messages... ALSO, it means that if you want to REPLY/PARTICIPATE, you'll have to still jump through all sorts of web-based hurdles. Sorry, still not seeing the "value add" here, but seeing significant value-decrease. D [demime 1.01d removed an attachment of type application/pkcs7-signature which had a name of smime.p7s]
