The BLU server locked up on Thursday evening, and when I went to the ISP on Saturday to reboot, it wouldn't come up again.
I brought a loaner machine to the ISP on Monday and restored the backups onto it, but the lists were not included in the backups. Jerry Feldman had a cron job on another server that saved a copy of the various subscriber lists, but when I tracked it down, I found it hadn't worked since the server failure on May 27. I restored the lists as best I can, but there are still problems that only Jerry has the info to deal with, and he's on vacation this week. He says he'll look at it after the BBQ this Saturday when I give him the hard drives from the server that just locked up. In the meantime, David and I will be putting out fires as best we can. Also, I added the lists to the backup scripts on the loaner machine. -- John Abreau / Executive Director, Boston Linux & Unix AIM abreauj / JABBER [email protected] / YAHOO abreauj / SKYPE zusa_it_mgr Email [email protected] / WWW http://www.abreau.net / PGP-Key-ID 0xD5C7B5D9 PGP-Key-Fingerprint 72 FB 39 4F 3C 3B D6 5B E0 C8 5A 6E F1 2C BE 99 _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] http://blu.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss
