I'm an 'end user' been a fan since StarOffice 5. I applaud developers over the years who have made OOo and LO the serious office software it is today. I'm lucky to have the time, space and inclination to have both versions on my Ubuntu netbook. I will probably choose one over the other in time when the differences become more than cosmetic. I have to say I think LO is more likely to prosper because of who is involved.
If I might be so bold, I hope that neither ever have an interface like the current offering from redmond! I have to use it at Uni and don't like it at all.
