I've been wondering for some time why downloading a stable Swedish version
of LO is more complicated than downloading a stable Swedish version of OO (I
presume this is also the case for other non-English languages, but I've not
tried). Below a table which displays the difference :

As the table makes clear, for 64-bit Linux Debian, two more files must be
downloaded and installed in the case of LO than in the case of OO. For
Windows, one more file is required. This means that when helping retirees
install an alternative to MS Office, I find myself turning to OO rather than
LO, which I prefer for my own use. If the respective helppacks and langpacks
can be included in stable versions of OO for non-English languages, I fail
to understand why the same thing cannot be done for LO versions. But perhaps
I am missing something here ?...
