I gather the LibreOffice extensions & templates service is nearly ready to switch on. With approval from the Steering Committee, it's feasible that AOOo could redirect the URL that OO.o currently uses and make it point at this new service for as long as they need to, in order to maintain continuity for users. Long-term, it's important to recognise that the LibreOffice service will only host extensions under open source licenses - nothing to stop someone else creating a downstream superset though.
