Well, that can be fixed by just making sure these icons are saved without a transparency or replace the transparent background with white. That is a hassle, but it can be done simply, as long as you have access to all of the icon files. Of course some extension add icons to your toolbar menu[s], so their authors will need to make their icons with non-transparent backgrounds. But, hey, this is a new design element and it will take a few versions to get it all worked out and bug free.
