Where signing up can means providing a username and password (name and
email are optional), I think it's a reasonable thing to ask.

Your emails were sent to a US-based mailing list archive after all with
no privacy policy, after all. In any case, the wiki seems to be licensed
under the GFDL.

I'm happy to link to the thread in the archives. In fact, I'm happy to
cut and past eany suggestions you or Jay make here into the wiki if you
give me permission to do so!

What I do not want to do is waste any more time on this bizarre meta
discussion. Imperfect as it is, the wiki is the designated the place for
the conversation and quite a bit of it has already happened there. I'm
willing to do what I can to help include the voices of people like you
who refuse to use the designated medium. Please coordinate with me
offlist.
