Solidworks, for example, is not free software, is Windows-only, and .
It *is* one of the better tools in its design space, though. Matlab
isn't Free either, and though there is a GNU/Linux version, not all
toolboxes run on it. For our Microwaves class, we had to use one such
toolbox...
