Wouldn't it be great if we had a Free Culture Co-Op where projects like this
could already have some basic infrastructure and available human resources
to draw from in the initial scaling of a project? A good analogy is moving
from server based hosting to cloud-based hosting, where your bandwidth can
scale on demand. Similarly projects like Diaspora could start within the
umbrella of a co-op, have some initial support from members, and then have
the freedom to grow from there.

I think this has been discussed before, but maybe we need to revive the
idea. Not trying to cramp Diaspora's style here (I'm sure they'll do fine)
but if a project in the FC family takes off again it would be awesome to be
prepared to avoid the stress they're surely feeling.
