It is very important that infringement of the copyrights of
Microsoft be stopped. FC's pamphlet should particularly
emphasize that, as educause states, "A comprehensive list of
alternatives to illegal downloading" should be provided. Yet, at
the web page
http://www.educause.edu/legalcontent
there is no listing for the FSF, Debian, Red Hat, nor
Project Gutenberg. Even Wikipedia is not listed.
FC should prepare a formal statement that the present list is
misleading and inadequate. In particular the list does not
address the large scale infringement of Microsoft copyrights,
infringement so vast and so casually promiscuous as to suggest
mockery. To leave out legitimate alternatives to infringement of
Microsoft's EULA is to support the delusion that there are no
good low cost free OSes for home and small business computers.
